Fox Puppet Craft Word Family Activity: Literacy, Phonics, Word Building Centers
As you learn about word families, create this fox craft! Teacher assigns a student or groups of students to a word family. Student writes word family at the top. For example -ap. Student writes -ap words on the lines. For example, map, tap, cap. Create puppet by gluing head pieces to the bottom flap of a brown paper bag. Glue hands to front of bag. Color socks in a colors of choice, and glue to front of bag. Glue tail to the side of the bag so it’s tucked between the edges.
Glue word family sheet to back of brown paper bag. For extra fun, students read words to class, as they use the puppets!
