Squirrel, New Year Craft and Writing Activity for Kindergarten
After reading Squirrel’s New Year’s Resolution, practice comprehension skills, and connect to the text as you students (or teacher) write their resolutions on the writing sheet. Create puppet by gluing face to the bottom of a brown paper bag. Glue hands, feet, and acorn to the side of the bag. Glue tail by tucking in the side of the bag. For extra fun, students read resolutions while using the puppet to present.
