Walrus Craft and Writing Puppet for Kindergarten Arctic Animal Research
As you explore Arctic animals, write and create during literacy centers, science centers, or a whole-group kindergarten lesson. Glue pieces to a brown paper bag to create a puppet! Student writes facts and glues to back of puppet.
For extra fun, students read and use their puppets to present facts. In our kindergarten classroom, students work in small groups to study an animal, each writing different facts on their puppets. The groups then present to the class. Our entire puppet pack bundle is found here, which includes a polar bear, penguin, walrus, snowy owl, harp seal, caribou, puffin, Arctic hare, and Arctic fox:
