Kwanzaa Craft for Kindergarten: Unity Cup Craft & Kinara Guided Drawing
As you study Kwanzaa, teach students about two symbols of the holiday. Students complete guided drawings of kinaras using simple shapes. Students create unity cup crafts to attach for display!
Student draws a kinara on the unity cup outline, which is provided on page 6. Teacher uses a step-by-step guide to instruct students to draw a kinara using simple shapes. Page 4 includes a large final drawing of a kinara, and page 5 includes a 6-step guide.
Color, cut, and glue the unity cup craft (pages 7 and 8), and teacher staples cup on top of kinara drawing for display.
