As you study shapes this Christmas, create these simple presents during math class! This is great for a whole group lesson or a math center activity! Distribute a shape present and a correlating shape drawing sheet to each student. Student draws a picture that matches his/her present shape on the drawing sheet. Teacher or student writes name of picture on the line. Drawing examples might include: beach ball on the circle, board game on the square, building on the rectangle, stop sign on the hexagon, pizza on the triangle, egg on the oval. For the craft, students simply color ribbons red, cut, and glue! Staple or glue drawing sheets to crafts to display!
