Santa Shape Craft with Kindergarten Christmas Math Activity
As you study shapes this holiday season, complete this craft during math class! This is great for a whole group lesson or a math center activity. For a whole group study, you might divide students into groups to complete entire set of shapes you are studying. Students create crafts. During math class, students complete worksheets to correlate with the shape beard craft they have created. Some students might simply draw the shape of the beard in the box, while others might create an entire Christmas scene that includes the assigned special shape. For example, a student who creates a square craft might draw a present with marker. Then s/he might use crayons to draw a Christmas tree and a picture of him/herself holding the gift. Attach a standard sheet of construction paper behind worksheet to add a frame. Attach the completed craft to frame for a festive display for students to compare shapes!
