Kindergarten Arts and Crafts Math Activity: 2D Shape Counting, Graphing with a Rhombus, Star, Trapezoid, Oval, Heart
As you explore the rhombus, trapezoid, star, oval, and heart, create this shape craft bundle! It can be used for whole group shape lessons or math centers. You might use it as a group project, having multiple students work on each shape. Then the entire class might explore each other’s completed crafts. You might also have students complete each craft throughout the year as you study each new shape.
Craft Directions:
To get started, create a color code on either the counting or graphing page. Then color shapes on the large face to match. For example, color the oval red on the graph, and then color all ovals red on the face. Either complete the graph or write the number of each shape found (on the face) on the counting sheet. Glue a standard sheet of construction paper behind worksheet. Glue craft to top of frame for display!
