Chameleon Craft Activity, Writing Puppet: Zoo, Literacy, or Science Center
As you explore zoo animals, write and create during literacy centers, science centers, or a whole-group kindergarten lesson. Glue pieces to a brown paper bag to create a puppet! Student writes facts and glues to back of puppet.
For extra fun, students read and use their puppets to present facts. In our kindergarten classroom, students work in small groups to study an animal, each writing different facts on their puppets. The groups then present to the class.

Hint: Glue tail to the side of the bag so it’s tucked between the edges.
(If the tail is too much of a cutting challenge, students cut on the outside edge instead of cutting the inside lines.)
