Winter Crafts - Fine Motor Activities - Executive Functioning - Coloring
As you explore Winter in preschool, transitional kindergarten and/or kindergarten lessons, use these 25 fine motor activity sheets to support executive functioning and visual perception skills. Students are provided with opportunities to color, cut, glue, poke, paint, use stickers, place mini erasers, squeeze tweezers and pompoms, place beads, stamp, play with play doh, use BINGO chips, craft and hole punch pages for visual-spatial and fine motor practice. Engage students as they make unique thematic creations during whole-group lessons, Winter centers, or occupational therapy sessions. These activities involve planning, organization, attention, self-control, flexibility, perseverance, time management and task initiation, life skills our young students need to navigate classroom and home life.
Although some projects might be best completed as a whole or small group with more supervision, such as q-tip painting, most activities are intended for students to complete independently. This will vary depending on the needs of the students in your class. Picture clues are in the corner of each page to support students with some independence with following directions for those who are ready.
