Fire Safety Anchor Chart Poster - Fire Prevention Week - October - Kindergarten
If you’re looking for a Fire Safety anchor chart / poster / bulletin board display to discuss Fire Prevention week this October, this download is for you! I love to use this chart to discuss the following fire safety concepts:
Have a safe meeting place that is a constant, such as a mailbox, for example.
Smoke rises, so stay low and go so you don’t breathe in the smoke.
Be campfire safe. Don’t run near them. Make food, such as s’mores with an adult’s help.
When you get out of a burning building, don’t go back inside for anything, not even a pet.
Don’t hide from firefighters. They are safe people who are there to help.
If you see fire, call 911.
Don’t touch stove tops, pans or candles so you don’t get burnt.
If your clothes catch on fire, stop, drop and roll. Don’t forget to cover your face.
Book companions you might read to go along with your discussions might include, but certainly are not limited to, the following titles: Miss Mingo and the Fire Drill, Stop, Drop, and Roll, Pete the Cat: Firefighter Pete, Clifford, the Firehouse Dog, Arthur's Fire Drill and No Dragons for Tea. Are you a visual learner? Check out ALL of our fire prevention activities on a link to blog, provided in the file.
