Gingerbread House Craft - Sight Words Activity - Gingerbread Man / Girl Activity
As you practice sight words alongside your holiday activities, work on fine motor and visual-spatial skills with this gingerbread house craft activity! During morning work or center time, students color, cut and glue the craft. Two crafting options are included to best meet both your students’ and your prepping needs! Students might color, or students might color, cut, and glue.
During a sight word lesson or literacy center, students write sight words on the sight word writing sheet. Another activity students enjoy doing alongside the craft is color coding the words. For example, color the section with the word “are” green on the color coding sheet and the writing sheet, too. Then use different colors to pair the rest of the words. You might attach the writing sheet to the craft for a holiday bulletin board display!
