Earth Day Craft, Shape Activity: Kindergarten Math Center
Explore shapes this Earth Day as you create 10 Earth crafts during math centers, a small-group or a whole-group lesson in preschool or kindergarten. Start your lesson by allowing students to choose their shape Earths. Then students cut and glue the pieces of the printable craft.
Now you’re ready to discuss shapes together! You might have students sort crafts based on their shapes, such as shapes with and without curves, for example. Another idea is to sort by how many sides. Students might come up with their own ways to sort as well!
