Rainbow Craft, Place Value Activity: Spring, Saint Patrick's Day Math
As you explore rainbows this Spring, practice place value with this kindergarten math activity! During morning work or center time, students create rainbow. Three options are included to best meet the needs of your little learners. During math centers, a small-group, or a whole-group math lesson, students add place value clouds. This is a super simple, easily differentiated activity. You might give students blank clouds for them to draw tens sticks and ones cubes and then write numbers on their own. This is also a choice for option 1. You might also write numbers on the rainbows for students to just draw tens sticks and ones cubes. Another option is to give each student one tens stick cloud and another ones cube cloud for students to write the numbers on the rainbows. Put all of the pieces of the printable craft together for a fun fine motor and visual-spatial activity, along with a cute Spring bulletin board display!
