Fish & Fishbowl Craft, Sight Words Kindergarten Activity: Pets
As you practice sight words throughout your pet theme, work on fine motor and visual-spatial skills with this fish and fishbowl craft activity! During morning work or center time, students color, cut and glue the craft. Crafting options are included to best meet both students’ and your prepping needs!
During a sight word lesson or literacy center, students write sight words on the lined sheet. Another activity students enjoy is color coding the words on the sheet with the craft. For example, color (or use a dot paint) to make the word “where” yellow on the craft and the worksheet, too. Then use different colors to pair the rest of the words. You might attach the writing sheet to the craft for a fish bulletin board display!
