Robot Shapes Craft Pack: Circle, Oval, Square, Rectangle, Hexagon, Triangle
Create robot crafts during math class! This is great for a whole group lesson or a math center activity! To complete this craft in my kindergarten classroom, I have groups of students work on them with me during math centers. As they create their shape robots, we talk about the specifics of their shapes. They hang them all together in one section of the room. When the rotation is complete, groups present their shapes so everyone can learn about them.
We then use the shapes on the wall to play a movement shape game. I have students rotate to the shapes, and then I have groups of students sit down as I call out clues to name a shape. For example, I might say, "The group of students standing at the shape with 4 equal sides need to go sit in their chairs." The rest of the students stay at their shapes, and we keep playing until there's just one student left. They LOVE it!
For each of the 6 shapes, 5 sheets are included.
2) coloring option (all pieces on one sheet for quick printing)
4) colored antennae and buttons (3 sets)
5) eyes (multiple sets)
