Coconut Tree Craft and Goal Setting Activity for Growth Mindset in Kindergarten
During back to school time, set goals with your students! You might tell them what the class goals are as a community of learners, such as making a class line or keeping the trash cleaned up off of the floor. You might also share academic goals, such as learning letters or counting. Throughout your discussion of growth mindset, talk about setting and achieving goals. Then students draw or write about what they want to accomplish!
During morning work or center time, students craft coconut trees to glue to their writing sheet. You might add a sheet of construction paper behind the writing sheet for display!
