Rhyming Worksheet Activity with Cut, Match, Glue for Phonics Lesson or Center
As you explore rhyming, cut and glue rhyming pairs with these activity sheets! Activities might be used during whole group rhyming lessons, literacy centers, or morning work in your kindergarten classroom!
Directions:
Say the name of each picture at the top of the page, and do the same for the pictures at the bottom. Then sort the matching rhymes by cutting out the bottom pictures and gluing them next to their rhyming pictures at the top. Color the little pictures with fine tip markers upon completion!
Additional Direction Ideas:
Choose one crayon to color one picture at the top. Then find the rhyming picture below, and color it to match. Repeat with different colors for each picture.
Once you’ve found all of the matches, cut out the pictures from the bottom of the page to glue next to the rhyme at the top of the page.
Place sheets in plastic sleeves. Students use matching manipulatives to match rhyming pairs for you to check.
