We're Going On a Bear Hunt Reading Comprehension Craft and Writing Prompt
After you read We’re Going On a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen, practice comprehension skills and connect to text when you discuss the settings of the story and ask students to think about the details each setting might include. Students draw their favorite settings on the writing/drawing sheets, and they fill in the blanks. Glue standard sheets of construction paper behind writing sheets to create frames. Students cut and color bear pieces. Glue to frame to create a cute display!
This is such a fun book to read no matter what time of year it is, but we like to read it and sing it a few times of the year, including when we do our camping theme near summer, study the letter Bb, and when we study hibernation during the winter.
