This packet has been designed to create 36 class books for your classroom library. At the end of the year, students particularly enjoy the classroom book raffle! Put all class books on a pile and draw students’ names to receive books to take home. It’s an exciting classroom event the kids love!

Each booklet contains 3 pages to copy. They are made on half sheets to save paper. Make one copy of the front cover . (You can either just use one cover, or split the books into a girl book and a boy book to create even more books for your library.) Then copy the second two pages front to back. Students fill in their journal writing on one side of the sheets. On the back sides, they draw pictures.

The journal topics are generic enough to be used in any kindergarten classroom. Although you may need to rearrange them a bit to fit your particular curriculum, you will find use for the journal topics covered.
