Outer Space Activity with Planets Craft, Number Order and Counting Math Activity
As you explore the solar system or the phases of the moon, enjoy crafting with this out of this world solar system during math class! This is great for a whole group lesson or a math center activity!
In our classroom, we use this tool throughout an entire week. I copy the three planet sheets and place them in a plastic bag for each student. Each day, we study two planets during science class. Students color and cut out those two planets and keep them in their plastic bags.
On Friday during math class, we practice number identification and order as students glue planets together in one long display. (Note that the cover of this packet includes two columns of planets, for display purposes only.)
