American Flag Addition Math Activity Craft for US Symbols Theme in Kindergarten
As you study US symbols this Veteran’s Day, Election, or Presidents’ Day, create American flags during morning work or center time. To complete the math activity, students write an addition sentence to match the flag’s red and white stripes. Cut and glue pieces together for a patriotic bulletin board display!
Instructions:
Students color stripes on flag in a red and white pattern. Instruct students to start with red at the top. Then they write an addition sentence that correlates with the stripes: 8 + 7 = 13. Color stars white.
