George Washington Craft Activity: Five, Ten Frame Decomposing / Addition
This Presidents Day, practice addition as you color dollar bills green and light greet to complete a number sentence (to 5 or 10). During morning work or center time, students create George and prep the money bag. (Glue to bag with bills to the back of the one with the dollar sign.) Three cutting options are included to best meet the needs of your little learners!
During math centers or a whole-group math lesson in kindergarten or first grade, students color money in the bag, and create a ten frame to match! Differentiated options are provided for the frames, including ten frames with multiple choices for number sentences. A blank number sentence is included as well.
Glue bags and George’s hands to Washington to complete the craft, and create a fun Presidents’ Day bulletin board display! P
