This craft pack has been created to explore nutrition in a way that focuses on a balanced diet of healthy foods. 


Nutrition: A Balanced Plate: Color, Cut, and Glue Craft

Read There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie. She did not make healthy choices at Thanksgiving. After your study of nutrition, the food pyramid, and a balanced diet, students create their own balanced plates. Two copying options are provided, a copy for students to color, and a set of copies for students to cut and glue. You might have students draw their favorite of each type of food on their plates! Nutrition: Fruit Group: Color, Cut, and Glue Craft Pack: Banana, Apple, Orange, Strawberry, Grapes, Watermelon

As you explore farm fresh foods, healthy eating habits, the food pyramid, and a balanced diet, have a fruit study! You might choose to do a taste test and a create one fruit craft per day. OR you might choose to have students craft their favorite fruit to craft after your fruit exploration. Project the example page on the board so students have a visual. Two printing options are available with this pack, a coloring version and a version you might print on construction paper.


Nutrition: Vegetable Group: Color, Cut, and Glue Craft Pack: Corn, Broccoli,Tomato, Carrot, Pea Pod

As you explore farm fresh foods, healthy eating habits, the food pyramid, and a balanced diet, have a vegetable study! You might choose to do a taste test and a create one vegetable craft per day. OR you might choose to have students craft their favorite fruit to craft after your vegetable exploration. Project the example page on the board so students have a visual.
