Winter Hat Craft, Rhyming Activity for Kindergarten Phonics Lesson
As you practice rhyming this Winter, work on fine motor and visual-spatial skills with this Winter hat craft! During morning work or center time, student colors, cuts and glues the hat craft. (Save the rhyming pieces for later by placing them in a ziplock bag.) Three crafting options are included to best meet both your students’ and your prepping needs! During a phonics lesson or small-group literacy center, student glues the pieces that rhyme with hat onto the hat for completion.
PLUS, you might use these pieces to make an actual hat! Staple strips of paper to the sides of the hats, wrap the strips around student’s heads, and staple to size!
