New Year Hat Craft, Name Activity: Letter Center for Kindergarten
As you practice letter identification and names, work on fine motor and visual-spatial skills with this New Year hat craft! During morning work or center time, student colors, cuts and glues the hat craft. Three crafting options are included to best meet both your students’ and your prepping needs!
During a writing lesson or literacy center, student or teacher writes letters of names on boxes. Another option is to print prepped letter pieces for students to hunt for the letters in names. Student cuts and glues letters in order vertically and attaches craft pieces below the hat for display! Another option is to use these pieces to make actual party hats! Staple strips of paper to the sides of the hats, wrap the strips around students’ heads, and staple to sizes! Glue the blowers to the strips for decoration. Glue the name pieces to the strip as well.
