Giraffes Can't Dance Kindergarten Arts and Crafts Writing Lesson Activity
After reading Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae, practice comprehension skills, and connect to the text as you complete the giraffe craft. During guidance time, have a discussion about how people are good at different things. Emphasize the importance to keep trying new things so students find their gifts. Invite students to share something they’re good at. During writing time, glue writing sheet to a standard sheet of construction paper. Glue giraffe onto sheet. Then students fill in their names on the top lines and their answers on the bottom lines. Draw pictures to match the words in the space provided.
Our kindergarten arts and crafts are downloads you can print at home or school. Each craft includes a cover and a contents page, so you know exactly how to put pieces together. The only supplies you need are paper, scissors, glue, and crayons! Enjoy creating with the kids!
