Pages 1, 2: Product Details
Students color matching shapes to help shape friends meet! Note that shapes are a variety of positions for better understanding of shape concepts. I love to watch kiddos turn the pages and count sides just to be sure the shapes are, indeed, the stated shape! You might use crayons, markers, or dauber paints! Students might also color code the rest of the shapes on the page as they create. For example, the path might be green, hearts red, ovals yellow, and so on.
For an extra challenge, have students write numbers inside of shapes as they count them along the path.
An additional challenge to play a partner game when finished coloring. Each partner places a token on the shape at the top of the page. Roll the die to race to the bottom. Be sure to get the exact number of hops to the bottom shape to win!
