Community Helpers Craft Activities, Writing Prompts: Doctor, Dentist, Teacher
This is the perfect addition to your community helpers unit as you study the jobs of doctors, dentists, teachers, and community helpers in general. Each community helper comes with a lined writing paper for children to describe the job. During a writing lesson or literacy center, students may choose to write about goods and/or services the helper provides. You may choose to slightly enlarge the helpers, based on the fine motor skills of your students.

Community Helper (General)
Students write about what they want to be when they grow up. They glue their writing sheet to a frame. Boys attach a boy to the top of the frame, and girls attach a girl to the top. Then students draw hats and/or tools their job may require on given sheet. They color the accessories to make them look real and cut them out. They glue the hats to heads and tools to frames.
