The Most Magnificent Thing Kindergarten Arts and Crafts Writing Lesson Activity
After reading The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires, practice comprehension skills, and connect to the text as you complete the craft. During guidance, discuss times you’ve tried something, but found the task hard to complete (ex. Playing an instrument, riding a bike, etc.). Provide examples, model, and ask students to provide their own examples, too. Discuss strategies used to get better at specific tasks. Ask students to come up with some of their own ideas. During writing, students write and draw about a time when they had to practice doing something again and again before they were able to do it. Glue the girl to top of writing/drawing sheet for display.
Our kindergarten arts and crafts are downloads you can print at home or school. Each craft includes a cover and a contents page, so you know exactly how to put pieces together. The only supplies you need are paper, scissors, glue, and crayons! Enjoy creating with the kids!
