Corduroy Craft and Writing Prompt: Reading Comprehension Book Companion
After you read Corduroy by Dan Freeman this Winter, practice comprehension skills and connect to text when you discuss times students lost things, just like Corduroy the bear lost his button. Students draw something they have lost on the writing/drawing sheets, and they fill in the blanks. Glue standard sheets of construction paper behind writing sheets to create frames. Students cut and color Corduroy pieces. Glue to top of frame to create a cute display!
