Pig Craft: Farm Animal Research, Spring, Fall Literacy Center Activity
As you learn about farm animals, students practice fine motor and visual-spatial skills as they create pig crafts during science centers. Students complete a writing prompt and attach it to the barn during literacy centers or a kindergarten writing lesson.
Contents and Directions:
Barn Craft and Writing:
Page 1: cover
Page 2: roof (top)
Page 3: doors (bottom)
Page 4: barn writing paper
Pig Craft:
Page 1: head, ears (2 sets)
Page 2: body, legs
Page 3: simple coloring option
Students cut out pieces from all three pages. Students glue roof to door piece. Students write about a trip to the farm on page 4. Then staple writing behind doors. For more fun, cut a slit in the doors so they open! :) Students glue barn and animal craft to poster to complete project.
