The Cool Bean Kindergarten Arts and Crafts for Writing Lesson Activity
During reading class, read and discuss The Cool Bean by Jory John and Pete Oswald. During guidance time, discuss how cool it is to be kind. Practice comprehension skills and connect to text as students share how they can be “cool beans.” During writing time, students write their responses. (Three writing options are included for differentiation.) Attach a standard sheet of construction paper behind drawing sheet to add a frame. Students color, cut, and glue bean. Attach the bean to the frame for display!
Our kindergarten arts and crafts are downloads you can print at home or school. Each craft includes a cover and a contents page, so you know exactly how to put pieces together. The only supplies you need are paper, scissors, glue, and crayons! Enjoy creating with the kids!
